Benefits of a whole house purifier include
the removal of sediments, chemicals and odours, as well as less build up in
appliances and in the bathroom- meaning appliances last longer, and bathroom
cleaning time is shortened.
However, perhaps the most important reason to
install a whole house system is to remove toxins from bathing and showering
water. Chemicals and toxins in water can account for certain symptoms such
as dry skin, itchiness, eczema, red rashes, irritated eyes and even

Softeners
Water softeners are not filters as such, as they do not 'clean' the water.
They do however, change the behavior of water. Water softeners add salt to
the water in a process of ion exchange that reduces the 'hardness' (eg, high
calcium and magnesium contents) from water, whilst adding a slight amount of
salt to the water. This is why softeners are best used in conjunction with a
reverse osmosis purifier, as this is the only way to remove salt from
drinking water. In this way, water throughout the house is softened, and no
salt is present in drinking water.
Some of the advantages of softened water include softer, cleaner clothes,
glassware & dishes appearing cleaner, softer and easier to manage hair, and
easier bathroom cleaning due to less build up of scum in showers, basins and
bath tubs. Having a softener also increases the life span of hot water
services and appliances, reduces electricity costs as water heaters operate
